A YOGA TRANSFORMATIONAL JOURNEY

I needed a practise that would make me feel like I am tending to the body without exhausting my glands. Something that would tame me when I was in fight or flight or switch me back on when I was run down.

Stilling the mind, taming the hormones and tending to the body is a combination that requires a very sophisticated approach and the thread that brings it together is the breath.

Without the breath and inward focus, it's just gymnastics on the mat!

When you embark on a cardio program to lose weight whilst you are dealing with an over pumping of cortisol, it actually works against you. It puts more stress on the Adrenals which in turn piles on more layers and zaps any left over energy.

I call this sequence the magical harmony because it tends to the flab on the belly, the racing thoughts of the mind and the disruption in the energetic and endocrine system.
